Could this be the biggest Oscar blunder of all time? What on earth possessed the Academy to vote for this damn film? Was it just that the industry was so pleased with itself for producing something which made so much money? Did they feel obliged to vote for it just because of it's box office? We will never know, but what is for certain is that Titanic did not deserve the award and that perhaps this is evidence enough to suggest that the whole process is a waste of time. It proves my point, but also begs the question, why am I bothering?
