One of the all time classic blunders. It's not like it was a particularly good year anyway, so how they managed to miss picking Goodfellas is beyond me. And what makes it worse is that because they didn't give Scorsese an award for his best film they keep picking him for inferior ones that don't deserve recognition. Looks like a lifetime achievement award for him in a few years time.
